Tips for the Data Entry Interview

Before Interview

•       An interview is an informal chat to determine whether you are fit for the organization.

•       Verbal contents of the interview are forgotten with in 30 minutes of your interview. What remains is the overall impression.

•       Dress appropriately. Be businesslike.

•       Do your homework in your home.

1.     Search about the organization’s general operations.

•       Practice in front of a mirror or an audience of friends/colleagues.

•       Arrive at least 15 minutes early.

In Interview

•       Greet the employer with a handshake.

•       Make frequent eye contact.

•       Smile, be polite, and try to relax.

•       Listen carefully to the questions asked. Ask the interviewer to restate a question if you are confused.

  • The key to answer the questions is to be honest in your approach.

  • Employer can ask you this type of general questions.

a)   Tell me about yourself?

b)   Why do you want to work at this company?

c)   What did you like/dislike about your last job?

d)   What is your biggest accomplishment?

e)   What is your greatest strength?

f)    What is your greatest weakness?

g)   Do you prefer to work with others or on your own?

h)   What are your career goals?”or “Where do you see yourself in five years?

i)     Tell me about a time that you had a lot of work to do in a short time. How did you manage the situation?

j)    Have you ever had to work closely with a person you did not like? How did you handle the situation?

Employer may ask you these type technical questions.

a)   Explain reference cursor?

b)   How are models actually derived?

c)   What are different deliverable according to phases?

•       Ask the following questions from the employer when he has completed his interview.

a)     Who would supervise me?

b)     When are you going to make a hiring decision?

c)     What are the opportunities for advancement?

d)     Is there a dress code?

At the End of Interview

•       At the end, thank the interviewers for their time.
