He is fully aware of all questions and suitable answers. Recruitment consultant knows all the tips that other professionals either don’t know or have to study. On the other hand, since the interviewer knows that there is another HR professional, interviewer can do something unusual. Therefore you need to know all facts and figures about history and culture of the organization. If you are an experienced professional then the interviewer has more expectations from you as compared to other candidates. You should be fully prepared for interview. Here are some tips that will definitely help you before and during interview.

Study Other Interviews

Recruitment consultant generally spends her/his time on other side of interview desk, it is important to adjust what it feels like to be interviewed rather than interviewing. You should visit various sites and see different interviews to pick up their style. Many times with the help of this practice, you can learn various new things that usually you don’t consider like how interviewee is dressed, what interviewee will do if he come late or about body language.

Research Company

You should spare sometime in researching the company and about the person who will be conducting interview. If you are demonstrating that you are knowledgeable about the business, it shows that you are serious and well prepared. The interviewer can directly ask if you have any knowledge about company. You can quote various facts; it will be quite impressive. Research about employer enables you to network your knowledge during another question. For example if you are aware that the company is specialized in recruiting health care professionals and are asked question like, How would you prepare for an interview?

Then you can reply this question by saying something like, “Well I know that company ‘A’ focus on health care field, so when I am recruiting health care candidates the first thing that I look for is their license”

Give Example

You must relate your experience to the company accomplishments. For example if the company is just starting to build a presence in Europe then you might be able to cite any experience you had recruiting for companies in Europe or if you were in a previous company that expanded into the European market then you can share a notable accomplishment.

Practice

It is not necessary that practice makes you perfect but it can make you better. You should have a friend role play an interview with you. If possible then you should make video or audio recording of an interview you conduct. You should study your answers and expressions while viewing the interview second time. Recording will provide you some good points to improve yourself to behave and answer effectively during interview. You must think about most likely questions and write down their best answers on paper. You can do practice all answers over and over.

Body Language

Some practical tips that various interviewing professional ought to be conscious of  arriving early, maintaining eye contact with interviewer. If you are not conscious about the importance of arriving early, maintaining eye contact with interviewer, this can spoil your impression. You should not cross your arms in front of your chest since this gives an impression that you are hiding something. One of main reasons HR professionals give for not hiring someone is a lack of interest and enthusiasm. Remain positive, appear relax and leave your stress at the door for a much better impression.
