Various people find job interviews demanding and nerve racking. The appealing thing in job interview is that most interviewers usually ask same interview questions or has some variations in them. Knowing about common interview questions provides you an opportunity to prepare ahead of time. One of the most frequent questions that employers might ask candidates during job interview is if they can contact your current or most recent employer? This is especially tricky if you are still employed. After all the majority of people don’t want their current employer finding out that they are busy in job hunting. This and such kind of tricky questions can create problem for candidate so here are some ideas that tells candidate how to answer some of most tricky job interview question.

• If you face question about contact of your previous employer on employment application then you can simply check “Yes” box and write following sentence “Can contact employer after offer is given”. This way will save you because when your previous employer comes to know about your job hunting you will have a job offer.
• If organization in which you are previously employed no longer exist then you should tell them this. If you were fired from previous job or even if you left job on good terms then you can get their side of story before you get completely thorough interview.
• If interviewer asks about yourself then you can answer this question by pointing out your qualifications. This is simple but tricky question and often during interview leads various candidates to start talking about their family background. This time is an opportunity to sell yourself so you should convince interviewer that you are right person for position.
• Before interview you should think about your one weakness that you can discuss when interviewer asked what your main weakness is. For example if you are a workaholic person then tell this to interviewers as weakness. This weakness works for employer’s advantage it means that you will get the work done. If you have a hard time saying “no” then this weakness will proves you as a team player so company will take benefit from you.
• If you face this question that where you will see yourself in 2 or 3 years from now. You can reply that you will have advanced to a promoted position.
• Always remain positive during job interview when you asked why you left your previous job. Don’t bash an ex-employer, even if you have reason to be negative. You can reply this question that you are looking for a company with room for growth, where you can better utilize your skills.
• If you are asking about importance between both of talking and listening then you can respond by saying both are important at appropriate time. Employers don’t want those employees that don’t contribute or give input. At the same time they also don’t want overconfident employees who have an opinion on every matter.
• Be honest while answering tricky question like: have you ever been fired? If yes then make sure that to mention that you have learned a lot from experience and also tell them how you have improved.
• Answer question about salary requirements by giving salary range instead of specific amount like you can mention that depending on duties $20 to $25 is acceptable to you.
