Tips for the Army Interview

Before Interview

•       Verbal contents of the interview are forgotten with in 30 minutes of your interview. What remains is the overall impression.

•       Dress appropriately. Be Alert.

•       Practice in front of a mirror or an audience of friends/colleagues.

•       Arrive at least 15 minutes early.

  • Your gestures and postures should show alertness.

In Interview

•       Greet the officer with a handshake.

•       Make frequent eye contact.

  • Answer your interviewer promptly. Late replies will create a bad impact in Army Interview.

•       Listen carefully to the questions asked. Ask the interviewer to restate a question if you are confused.

•       You may be asked this type of questions.

a)   What can you do for your country?

b)   How will you benefit us?

c)   What will you do if I ask you to murder your father for countries’ best interest?

•       Ask the following questions from the employer when he has completed his interview.

a)     Who would supervise me?

b)     When are you going to make a hiring decision?

c)     What are the opportunities for advancement?

d)     Is there a dress code?

At the End of Interview

•       At the end, thank the interviewers for their time.
